The cemetery

If your family already owns a plot, bring the deed or the cemetery’s paperwork when we meet. If not, we explain the options and make the arrangements with the cemetery you choose. The plot itself is purchased from the cemetery.

The date and the hour

If your family consults the almanac (通勝／黃曆) or a geomancer (風水師) for the day, the hour, or the position of the grave, tell us. We schedule the funeral and coordinate with the cemetery accordingly.

The casket

We offer caskets at a range of prices and explain each cost before you decide. A simple burial without a full service is also available.

At the graveside

The clergy lead the final prayers or chanting, and the casket is lowered. Family members may each place a handful of earth or a flower. Each cemetery has its own rules about burning offerings at the grave, and we tell you beforehand what is permitted.

In the years that follow

Families return to the grave on the anniversary and at Qingming. Our guide to the days after the funeral explains the observances, and the memorial date calculator lists the festival dates for the coming years.
